Hot and Sour Dumpling Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pack of SUMM! Pork Gyoza Dumplings with Chili Crisp Oil
  • 6 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp black vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup rehydrated wood ear mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup rehydrated shiitake mushrooms
  • 1 cup of sliced bell peppers
  • Cornstarch mixture – 1 tbsp to 1/3 cup water
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • Other additions:
    • Bamboo shoots
    • Sliced tofu

Toppings

  • Sliced green onions
  • SUMM! Chili Crisp Oil

Directions

  1. Bring broth to a boil and add in the seasonings (soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, salt/sugar/white pepper).
  2. Add in mushrooms, bell peppers, and other additions at this stage.
  3. Once boiling add in dumplings and cook for 5 minutes until fully heated through.
  4. Thicken with cornstarch and continue to boil when the soup starts to thicken.
  5. Drizzle in the beaten eggs and stir to disperse.
  6. Top with the included chili crisp oil,  green onions and then serve!
