Chicken Gyoza Dumpling Soup

Who needs Chicken Noodle Soup when you can have Chicken Gyoza Soup? For a quick and nutritious recipe for those chilly days, there’s nothing more satisfying than a warm bowl of soup and dumplings.

  • 1 L chicken stock
  • 1/2 small yellow onion, medium diced
  • 2 ribs celery, large diced
  • 3 carrots, peeled and large diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 large sprig thyme
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 pkg SUMM! Chicken Gyoza
  •  Optional:
    • Chopped parsley to garnish
    • 1/2 cup shredded cooked chicken or turkey


  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, saute onion, celery, carrots, garlic, bay leaf, thyme and parsley for 2 minutes until onions are translucent and fragrant.
  2. Add chicken stock, salt, soy and sesame oil and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce to a simmer, add chicken gyoza and cook for approximately 5 minutes or until heated through.
  4. Serve piping hot and enjoy!
